While countries in Asia have made considerable improvements in terms of development and economic growth, they need to cover a lot of ground when it comes to meeting the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives.
With growing awareness among, both consumers and investors, about buying from and investing in conscious companies, the ability of businesses to raise capital may also be impacted by their responsiveness towards meeting the ESG goals. As of now, Asia’s share of ESG-linked or green funding accounts for only about 1% of all professionally managed assets globally.
The Asia ESG Summit will focus on the ESG opportunities, significance, and risks for businesses in Asia, the business case for ESG, and how companies including SMEs can benefit from it.
