I’m Hessa Al Matrooshi, an Information Security Team Leader with a passion for building secure, resilient systems and driving innovation in IT management. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of building a comprehensive security system from the ground up, establishing policies and procedures that align with international standards like ISO 27001. My team and I achieved both ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 certifications for our organization in just one year—a milestone that I’m particularly proud of.

In addition to leading the Information Security team, I also oversee the Helpdesk and Infrastructure teams. My goal here is to create a support environment that’s more agile, secure, and proactive. Some of our recent initiatives include moving services to the cloud and offering proactive support to meet our users’ needs. Recently, I completed a Disaster Recovery (DR) solution in Ajman Free Zone, implementing it in just 7 months with high-standard equipment and processes to ensure business continuity.

I’m also passionate about advocating for women in cybersecurity. As a representative of the Women in Cyber Security Middle East group, I strive to empower women and highlight their roles in this field. I’m always excited to share my experiences, especially through conference speaking and panel discussions.
